Somehow I kinda like those looks better than the silly Joker smile.

Nah, you still need someone to murder the prostitutes. Jeeza!!

Funny how their hats don’t even flap in the wind, let alone fly off.

Mine Chinese harbors? WTF?????

“Gay cowboys.” The Hamster in the Kalahari?

Fusion guy. A moron. Motorcyclist. An absolutely fucking, reckless moron. Instead of pulling over he chooses to endanger himself and worst yet, others.

Love the whole one marine relieving the other marine dance. Beautiful and dignified all in once. Just like the Marines.

Clownshoe!!!!!

More damage than what the underside of this car sustained going over and then being dragged back out by the tow truck? That’s better than the tires bouncing against a parking lot-type concrete bump?

Stick a sprinkler in the center and hello skidpad. Oh the fun!

A simple edge lip may have done the job of catching a rolling car without compromising the open look.

I realize it not everyone’s cup of tea, but I do love the steelies on these Jeep variations.

I harbor no hopes of the rule actually being repealed; just updating it to modern times to eliminate silly things (like in this story) and make it make some sense. Again, assuming it is not really safety or emissions driven, but some outdated Mercedes-driven non-sense.

What’s wrong with asking? Will it do anything? Most likely not. But it is safe to assume nobody in government has ever given this rule any thought since it went in the books. If indeed it originated not from pollution or safety concerns but rather from commercial lobbying (i.e., Mercedes), what have you got to loose

So here’s a crazy idea, for what it may worth. How many people read Jalopnik? It is probably fair to assume that most of them would approve of having this rule addressed and hopefully revised, if not done away for. So let’s have Jalopnik start one of those petitions to the White House that they have do address if it

Needs 8C.

Probably to account for the fact that some Americans, even with our cheaper gas, will still cheap out and pump it full of 87 octane regular.

Not to mention being an all-around very talented automobile technician and excellent teacher.

In the case of the BMW, from what I have read, in the turbo era they’ve done away with the driving lights that used to be house down there in favor of more air vents for things like the oil coolers, etc. That seems to make sense.

“American and European regulations are not better or worse than each other, just different, which is very annoying and makes things expensive.”
