Because it beats the hell out of the rest of flyover country. Why does almost every college graduate yearn to get a job in the Big Apple?
I don’t give a shit how you may rationalize your excuses. Driving is a 100% participation event, a privilege and not a right. You and your peers don’t deserve to be on the road putting the rest of us in danger. If we could re-invent the world, as long as we have people like you we would have “dumb” roads for the likes…
“The cheaper car isn’t selling because it’s just not fast enough.” Perhaps your’re right, but who cares? How many of them dentists do you think actually drive their 911s at anything approaching triple digits? It’s all for show, man. I for one would love me a 4oohp 4-banger lighter Cayman.
Don’t auto manufacturers crush test mules? (Or is it just prototypes?) Because if they do crush test mules all I can say is GM should thank you for getting the job started.
Absolutely! I spanked a BMW X6M (567hp) around their Performance Center track down in Greer, SC and was surprised how much fun going balls to the wall on a cruise ship on wheels can be when you put enough hp on it. Even getting the tail to dance around the corners was no issue. Jeep can and should do this.
Well, when you put it THAT way, who wouldn’t want one? (oozing sarcasm)
Nary a turn signal in sight.
So being a massive asshole is your definition of “fun?” You must be one classy guy!
F30 higher than E90? Electric steering, 4-cyl turbo > hydraulic, 6-cyl in-line?
So she went in to potentially buy a car. Does she now have to buy three?
Here, here! We do NOT indeed have the stomach for mass loses in the U.S. And underestimating the capabilities of our adversaries, while it may make us feel superior in our contempt, is how we lose. We need to be more serious about these issues that face us. Only then can we make the right choices.
Probably right you are. And while I love my 330i and would be very interested in this little M, for that kind of cash I’m somehow more drawn to a 4C. I don’t know, it just strikes me as a more “sex on wheeels, go-kart” thing.
Got it, thanks. In all fairness, who doesn’t love the S54? The HVA issue was corrected by the 2008 year with a redesigned head. Mine’s the high output version found in the 330i (2006) and while I haven’t had any issues, had the lifters replaced with the modified ones (flowback check) early on just in case.
Do you mean he’s too close up? Funny thing, first thing we covered over the course of my 2 days at the BMW Performance Driving School was seating position. I had never sat that close up to the wheel before and now it’s been that way in my car ever since. Unnatural at first, but it works great, especially for steering…
Just curious, why not the N52? After all, more power, more modern?
Awesome suggestion!
LOL! But I think this refers to “hot bunking”, or the fact that more than one person shares the same bunk since these two people would have their watchstanding schedules arrange accordingly. No room in a ship for the luxury of your own bunk, except for officers.
You mean “sailors”, right? Soldiers are in the Army.
Yesssss! Just about my favorite American car design. Clownshoe everything!!!!!
