I drive a prius, and while the car has to be on for the AC to run, it doesn’t run the engine and it doesn’t really make any noise. I occasionally have to make a quick stop (like actually 5 minutes, not longer) and leave my dogs in the car with the car and AC on. They would be fine in there longer, but I’m paranoid…
