Speaking as a youtube power user, for me it feels like vintage youtube where people upload short videos about random shit. A lot of the energy on the app is best described as chaotic. I personally love it and nothing since the start of the pandemic has really made me laugh as much.

I don’t even like the ham on hawaiian pizza and would happily take a loaded pineapple only pizza. I’m also a milk first person so I’m used to being ostracized for my food choices.

As someone who also hates Christmas, I gotta be honest and say that I actually really like the horror as christmas angle she’s going for.

I remember that Lena Dunham debacle! It was like the rare time everyone decided that actually, Lena is not in the wrong here.

Did your girlfriends happen to be cats?

I supposed compared to latter works it isn’t as highly regarded, and it’s definitely a lighter, and fluffier movie, but so far it’s my personal favorite kinda for those reasons. The class inequalities, the social commentary, it’s all there still, but it has more comedic framing and is just more fun to watch.

I think Dan’s advice was mostly geared towards the person that had the choking incidents but I agree that there could have been more “no choking” for the rest of the audience.

Beginnings was probably a welcome respite while watching S2, but I honestly never cared for it beyond the fact that it reset the animation to the original high standards. I’m not one that likes for mythology to be overly explained, Hello Future Me has a video that aligns with most of my thoughts on it.

The price is coming down. I followed the Impossible Burger before it was first launched in select restaurants. It used to only be available in two bougie places in my city at the price of $22ish a burger. Now you can get an Impossible Whopper for $7ish. Yes, way too much to spend for a Whopper still, but that’s a huge

Are you saying you would have sex with every female person you know. Literally. Every. Single. One. Regardless or age, weight, attractiveness, relationship, personality.

That’s what you’re saying right?

Interesting that you mentioned it never felt bloated, because my experience watching this (with my boyfriend) was that it was just too much. We both enjoy martial arts movies and action films, and both appreciate the art of fight choreography, but this movie seemed operate on idea of more is more. More meatbags, more

I’m always perplexed by people who state a piece of fiction is manipulative, or has an agenda. I mean, that’s all narratives? I feel like what people mean is that they found that the story tried very hard to evoke a certain emotions that they didn’t feel. However, saying it’s manipulative allows people to frame their

Not to be cynical, but I really hope the guy raising money for the barista is actually going to give it to them. Wasn’t there a story about a couple that raised a huge amount of money for a homeless man only to withhold it because they thought they needed “make sure he didn’t spend it recklessly” or something?

It just makes me so sad that nuance and complexity can be stripped from art because there are so many people who would take it at face value, for example, emulating American History X or Fight Club. It just forces some art with “good morals” to have to be so on-the-nose with it’s values. I support the message, but I

It be that way sometimes.

If that anecdote about the fear of fresh produce and how it likely contributed to British cuisine boiling the hell out of everything was interesting, I can’t recommend the book, Taste of Empire enough. It’s basically examining the history of British colonialism, imperialism and early industrialization through the

It all fairness to them, it was like a thing at the time, “thug” cooking, “thug” literature (although at least that guy is black).

Putting aside the racial connotations of their brand, I’ve always found it very cringey as well. I get we all need a schtick, but not this one.

For really small businesses I’ve noticed that websites could be missing but they likely have an instagram account that you can DM

Yes and that only works if you remove the bad apples promptly before it spreads its bad appleness further. As we have seen in police departments everywhere, they don’t face removal or adequate repercussions. Paid leave, desk duty, transfers or even just getting a job in different city. The bad apples in PD have stay
