I have been building to this realization.
I wonder if they can move Valencia towards a Petra-Jane style relationship (Jane the Virgin). Petra was the worst for a long while and now has become a very sympathetic character.
I'm guessing that had something to do with him being on two shows at once. Though I heard they killed him off on that JLo show…
I took to twitter immediately afterwards to ask Bloom about where she gets her bras. (Not because of that dance, but rather that the rest of the time she seems well wrangled.)

It think you nailed it in that last sentence. They have done such a good job of mixing what could be absolutely absurd with outcomes that are so real it hurts the viewer.

I think there is some importance to the fact that Josh isn't actually that special. It's all about reminding her about a time in her life where she thought she was happy. It's about her more than him.
