How about that F-104 Starfighter in the background... I would like to take that on a highway to the DANGER ZONE! Unlike the Mondial it screams FAST even when standing still.

I have but two words in response: Adult Diapers

I can’t speak about the Type R, but the Mazdaspeed3 actually had a CAI available straight from Mazda as an aftermarket accessory. The stock airbox was so restrictive that a good CAI has consistently been shown to add around 20hp on dynos, even more so when properly tuned through an AccessPort:

Factoid from Wikipedia: The name Tiguan, pronounced TEE-gwan, is a portmanteau of the German words Tiger (“tiger”) and Leguan (“iguana”).

1. You mean its Ryan Reynolds number, right?

Amazing project, Robb - thanks for taking the time to share amidst the chaos - hopefully we can get an onboard view for the actual run?

Great review - you have the best words! Love the car in white too, and those wheels are gorgeous.

All those drivers in press photographs have to have something to read, ya know?

Dude, get out of my subconscious!!! I’ve been wondering about the blue badge on the back of regular Volvo’s for a while now, whenever I see them on the street. A star for you.

Armed with this guide, any votes on best livery? For me, it’s a toss-up between the Arc Bratislava, Tockwith Motorsports, and Dempsey-Proton Racing.

1992 Honda Civic VX (92hp, 97lb-ft, 2094lbs) 0-60mph time: 11.1 seconds

Ah, that would make sense. I turn my electronic aids (DSC, T/C) off when I start my car, as I find they limit its dynamic abilities. You would think that would be possible/recommended on a Type R, especially when driving on the track!

Thanks! The notchiness could be the LSD doing its thing, perhaps in combination with the adaptive electric power steering. My MS3 needs a firm hand at the wheel under those conditions, but I actually enjoy the added feedback! Mine’s never been notchy though - more like a tug that you have to counter.

From the pictures, it looks as though there are enough blank switches to satisfy both boost and beats!

My eyes are still readjusting after looking at those pictures. Like looking into the sun. One of the more egregious examples of an anti-aesthetic design in modern vehicles.

So, beyond being FWD how’s the stock handling setup? Tendency towards understeer (does it plow), or does it stay neutral/oversteer through turns off-throttle?

But where else should you put the buttons for NOS and the boost controller?
