At peak Porsche, every old car was at least a $20k investment; if you pay less than that, it will take the difference to get it up to snuff.

I’ve noticed a fair number of first gen Cayennes with very high mileage still on the road in NorCal, especially the non turbo ones. These were well built and seem to hold up if maintained. I recently spoke to a local Audi/Porsche dealer mechanic that services them and owns one himself. His has over 200K on it and

Full send. I’m totally not a Porsche guy, but I’d hit it for $4K. I’d chase parts in it - it would be the only Porsche in the Pick and Pull parking lot and on the trip it fails to start, I’d walk inside and trade the keys for nearly 10% of what I had paid for it.

Shit I didn’t even know $4k cars even existed anymore, let alone a giant Porsche SUV with a v8. This is (sadly) the new level of fuck-it money for a car. Easy NP.

Yeah, I was surprised to see how cheap these get on the used market.  I have never really been that interested in them, but at this point if I wanted a cheap SUV with a little something different and (reportedly) decent driving dynamics this would be an option.  Why not?  Nice price.

This is a tougher call than a $4,000 DD should be. Maintenance isn’t so much of an issue, because it’s kind of disposable at this point in its life. But it guzzles premium. If you’re fishing in that end of the pond, do you want that expense? Still, if it’s not rusting out underneath, narrow NP.

The V8 in these early ones is pretty bulletproof. With some TLC and a once-over on the engine, this would run forever. NP.

Roll the dice. If it lasts 14 months, it’s less than $300/month.

I find it bonkers that the Cayenne has become the new Porsche 924, and while this one does suffer from that kind of catfish early aughts style, the interior is nice and you don’t have to look at it while you’re driving. Could be tigers lurking in there but for 40 benjies I’d chance it.

I’m on a half-dozen Miata forums. This will not get snatched up, it will garner laughing emojis. Also, CX Turbo is all I need to see, it’s right up there with eBay manifold. It’ll work, until it doesn’t

For me (I’ll probably get roasted for this), it would be a NP if it didn’t have the lift kit

Yea a lot of negative people in the comments. This lifted V8 NA sold for $13k (hell I bid on it). This person is asking 14k, gettem down to 10-12, find some trails and have a lot of stupid fun.

So many ND’s with no explanation. You guys just don’t like anything custom. 05 Miatas sit around 9K and up. Put this for sale on a Miata forum and it will get snatched up like hotcakes. Stop voting with your wallet and your tastes. If you’re broke and don’t like Miatas then don’t bother voting.

Okay.

Hmmm, the bed is misaligned with the cab on the left side but aligned properly on the right side, something twisted is going on here...

Well your handle would’ve been perfect for the truck seller....

It was fun while it lasted.

But they have to show her the paperwork with the numbers, so if she can’t understand basic math, that is also on her. The dealers are absolutely the scum of the earth, but they also only succeed because of dumb, greedy people who not only want more than they can afford, but also believe they they are owed more than
