Fair point. Still more more than enough power to make the addition of a supercharger unnecessary in my opinion.

you read it b4 voting? I just scrolled down and voted ND then read lol
Clearly most of the posters already got this, but for those sellers who still don’t get it: aftermarket modifications LOWER the value in resale. Yes, there are a few exceptions, but in general, if you put $26k of mods into your car, you are either getting a small fraction of that back when you sell, or it may even go…
Likely got denosed during the supercharger install. I denosed mine and it all went back together just fine with a lot of tweaking
I love the X1/9, kudos!
I gradually got out of that once universal habit when I started buying Japanese. An ‘86 Camry (which came into my life in well used condition as a commute beater, described and priced accordingly) was the last car in the fleet that really needed it.
Here’s my brother driving it. A bit less power than his C8 Vette, but still really enjoyed the experience.
username checks out.
Sweet car, congrats!
Uhhhhhh...I’m going to plead the fifth and quietly go out this weekend and buy a quart (realizing that the backlash might be swift).
If you own the vehicles behind it, your tastes run the extremes of whimsy and practicality.
Do...do you guys drive cars that *don’t* have a quart of oil stashed someplace?
If this doesn’t end up with a 90% or higher NP win I will be concerned for this community.
For a car like this, driving around without those is a foolish move. You should expect to need a small tool kit and basic fluids. It’s a 50-year-old car that wasn’t built that well to begin with, stuff is gonna happen.
as the old saying goes, if your vintage Italian (or British, or German, but not Japanese) car doesn’t have a puddle of oil underneath it’s likely out of oil.
I owned a Ferrari 308 GTS for a few years, and other than the exquisite exhaust note and moderate power difference there’s literally nothing I miss about it now that I (again) have an X1/9.
Easiest NP in a while. $6500 is close to fun money in today’s car market, and this is about as clean as you could hope to find one of these outside of a ritzy auction house. Buy it, drive it for a year, sell it for the same or more next year.
