That social construct has been explored in Candyman, Night of the Living Dead, Get Out (to an extent) and others. I’m looking forward to more Black horror films that aren’t focused on white people or their perspectives.

Yes it was insensitive bordering on a tad bit racist, but to be honest I - as a black woman - am actually happy to finally be associated with an otter, which is my favorite animal and incredibly adorably.

Visual” fatness definitely varies by the medium. Film/TV fat is different than Theater fat is different than Model fat is different than regular fat.

Right now I’m wearing size 22. I would be delighted to see someone my size portrayed without all the stereotypical fat baggage. I may be in the minority there but I’d prefer to see stories that break away from the script about how fat people supposedly feel about themselves. I am much more interesting than my weight.

Dietland the book is well worth the read, even if you hated show. It  made me feel like someone with a body like mine was being shown as fully human, which is rare.

One thing is that jas stuck with me is this quote from 30 Rock:

I feel like this is missing some logical connectors. Maybe the a lot parents who did not plan for childcare did plan for how much they would drink and did not plan to be hungover, thus obviating the need for childcare. This needs a question that “if you planned on how much you would drink, what did you plan? Did you

I have never been hungover enough for it to impact my ability to care for my kids. But I have been hungover enough for me to hate life and everything in it while caring for my kids the next day. It’s enough for you to really try very very very hard to never be hungover. But that’s difficult when it takes so much less

Wait...am I missing something here?

Exactly. One person’s clutter is another’s cozy and warm. Everybody’s got a style that makes them calm.

I totally hear you. I only wanted a photo that illustrated my point – the interior decoration equivalent of the serenely unencumbered feeling encountered after having taken a hugely satisfying and long-overdue dump.

Hahaha yes I do. And no allergies lol

I would totally come over if you were closer. It’s weird, I never used to be this way, in fact I used to be quite messy, then there was a gradual shift. I wouldn’t say I’m a neat freak because I still hate cleaning and doing laundry but I love tidying and decluttering and knowing I have as many things as I can

That sounds reasonable, since you do it for one room, and include only the loose stuff. I kind of do that when I clean my bedroom. She puts everything from the whole house, even the stuff that seems to have a home, in a big pile together! That would ruin my life, lol.

Wonderful to hear an expert talking about the difficulties of marriage. It is not easy nor is it particularly unique to have ups and downs in a marriage. Having to constantly communicate is, for me, a pain in the ass. I wonder if this is more common in same sex marriages or if we all experience the same sort of

In the past everything was awful all the time. When you were busy being worked to death, six days a week from sun up to sun down, and dying of smallpox there wasn’t time to grow to hate the way your spouse asks, “What’s for dinner?”

Julia Louis-Dreyfus can stand in the middle of 5th avenue and shoot someone and I would still vote for her. She can do no wrong.

WHO THE FUCK ARE THESE PEOPLE.
