Don’t know very much about this situation, but as a high school teacher, I would be incredibly angry that the SRO chose this tact. the faces of the students says a lot in this video. These kids do not seem to feel like this SRO is acting in their best interest.

This is false in my experience. As a reporter having known several SROs in smaller cities, they all requested the assignment because they like working with kids and want to improve the poor image some have of police (which has been earned in some cases).
