I watched the series with my partner and our takeaway was that it wasn’t gratuitous or glamorizing. The suicide and rape scenes are HARD to watch because they’re blunt, scary and traumatic. There’s no glamour in that, imo.

There is ZERO reason for a second season of this to exist. I saw it coming with all of the cliffhangers they set up in the finale, but on some level I thought the fact that there’s not going to be 13 more tapes would lead to sense prevailing.
