DON’T BE SOFT ON THEM, OR THEY WON’T LEARN.
TWENTY STEPS. 18, Kate Spade is queen. 19, Calvin Klein leather on the scene. Twenty, Uggs look funny.
I just rewatched OG Jeff’s confrontation with Gene from s5 premiere. He’s terrifying and Gene is practically pissing himself. He came across as a mafia type, or some kinda bounty hunter (perhaps the final big bad).
Psh. None of the above. Slippin’ Jimmy pulled off this whole stunt as proof of his ability to construct stunning, slant-rhymed mnemonic devices.
Nippy’s gonna be a problem.
Based on many of the sports references between Gene and the security guy, this episode would seem to be set in late 2013. I had always assumed the Omaha story was set in present day, but it’s apparently only about three years after the events of Breaking Bad.
I loved the Dirty Dozen homage with Gene making rhymes…
It’s crazy that we’re so far from the early 2000's that a description for who Karl Rove is was needed. I feel so old.
Not only that, but Wrenn Schmidt obviously played Kate the Jennings’ handler in season 3(?). So she should have a better grasp on KGB tactics.
I have to agree, this was borderline zany and daft. The politics stuff kind of works but the astronaut stuff with Danny and now his brother is so dumb/dull.
I’m not sure we watched the same episode. This was at best a D; easily the worst of the season, and one of the worst of the series.
How is this news? Just because someone of the stature of QT is saying what everyone else was saying 10 years ago?
Boy are you wrong about lots of things in one comment
I think she’s pretty clearly punishing herself for what happened. Unlike Jimmy, I don’t think she’s going to be able to push this all down and just ‘forget what happened’ as Jimmy talks about in the bedroom scene. She’s got way too much empathy, which has been well established in the show.
I gotta honest: I was more shocked by Kim quitting being a lawyer than from Howard’s death.
I’ve watched all three seasons of this show, but when I try to remember it I just think of the first episode and some scenes that are actually from “Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark.”
My gosh ... S1 of The Terror. So frickin’ good. Sorta forgot about it.
If stranger things had just been a miniseries it would forever be remembered as one of the greatest things on television ever, shame.
