Why I can’t just be mean to you, and you just sit there and take it? Why you so uppity?

If you can’t make a joke without punching down on somebody, maybe you don’t need to be in “comedy.” 

Personally, I’m aight. Was never really going to be in a rush to see or buy a ticket for one of his shows.

We’re in the age of calling what we really believe in jokes so we can get away with being awful people. Being called out for being an awful person is cancel culture. I get to say all these horrible things and then just say I’m a comedian and it’s  jokes.

The only cancel culture I experience is from people with big platforms complaining about cancel culture.

Weird thing, because the times I have to self-censor the most is when I’m around my Catholic in-laws, and they start talking about the sanctity of life or some other thinly veiled anti-abortion nonsense, and it takes every bit of self-restraint not to point out they are relying on a moral authority whose primary…

I took an early retirement in 2020 and I haven’t looked back. Sold my home, moved cross country, and livin’ my life. I exercise daily and have lost 30 lbs during the pandemic. It’s wonderful what one can accomplish with less stress.

The key takeaway for me, especially given my mother worked as a social worker for decades witnessing family separation as a daily event, is that white people are almost always the agents in these adoptions and “transactions.” This is a global reality.
