I’m confused by this anxiety to get news. I can’t imagine anyone who has paid any attention to SpaceX in the past accusing them of being particularly tight-lipped.

I would risk this only if the itinerary was a single airline the entire leg of a trip (to or from). Mixing carriers in a single day or two of traveling can get sketchy if a flight is delayed/cancelled as the other airline won't care why you are late or missed your flight.
