This is what we use when making eggs for ramen as the outside needs to be cooked, but the yolk is still runny. The ice/cold water bath helps to stop the cooking and makes peeling easy. I also have good luck using the pin hole to prevent cracking.

I can’t watch Grave of the Fireflies anymore. An absolutely beautiful movie which reduces me to ugly crying every time.
