Around the time I turned 10 my parents said that it would be my job to get dinner on the table twice a week (they both often got from home late so the idea was that I would start before they got home and have it on the table when they arrived). When I got to college I realized that I was the only one out of my friends

Yeah, they seem very transparent which is nice.

I got my KN95 masks here, seems legit. (I have no affilitation and I’m sure plenty of other places are selling them too.) https://shopvida.com/products/fda-eu-authorized-kn95

Also the government (generally on a county level) is spending plenty of money on caring for homeless pets.

My cat living benefits my cat. She should have a safe place to live, and humans owe her that, because humans caused the problem in the first place. I don’t believe in breeding animals under any circumstances but she deserves to live and have a safe home. If more people could afford to care for homeless animals, more

There are so many cats, dogs and other animals in need of homes that it would sure be nice if we could incentivize people to adopt them by offering financial support for vet bills...I’m not saying it needs to be part of the health care system, and I don’t care about people who are purchasing purebred animals, but I

It would be weird if my parents said they were from here, though, and they clearly moved here the same year as I did, 27 years ago.

I have never had anyone question me being from here when I saw that I moved here before the first grade, except in a joking way! But I also rarely meet people who grew up here anyway.

My family moved right after my sixth birthday—so I’ll usually say I’m from Portland, Oregon, where I lived ages 6-16 (and now as an adult), since I barely remember kindergarten.

Masks help reduce your risk (somewhat) and the risk of people around you (a lot). I’m glad you’ve been wearing a mask when with people from outside of your household, but if you’ve been indoors with other people or outdoors and not distancing it’s not that surprising that you would get covid since they’re not 100%

Take care of gross bodily functions in private whenever possible. Especially when they may involve infectious aerosols going into the air.

It’s disgusting and I hate it, especially when someone does it within six feet of me.

I live in Portland, Oregon, which is not a small town but not New York or San Francisco and there’s no way my partner and I could afford a two-bedroom apartment. I actually asked about the cost of two-bedrooms in my apartment building when our lease was up and they’re going for $1850, which, nope.

I have never felt the need to spit but I have felt the need to say, have a bowel movement and I’ve still never done it on the sidewalk.

Ok, I don’t understand this...I’ve never spit before and I’m doing just fine.

I live in Portland, Oregon and see people spitting on the ground basically every time I leave my apartment.

I have no clue. I watched the whole thing when it came out and it was whatever, but then afterward I kept hearing people talk about Joe Exotic like he was the hero of the story and not the villain? I don’t get it, it was a really horrifying story and he is a terrible person.

I will keep that in mind if I ever go to France! Not the case where I live, where a lot of great wine is widely available at wine shops, specialty grocery stores and local wineries for often pretty affordable prices. Guess I’m lucky.

Oh I was sharing with you that I found the previous comment annoying! Not directed AT you.

I especially love the idea that being French makes you an authority on that...um...why exactly
