And she’s agreed to sell those stocks and step down from the boards of any organizations that might be seen as a conflict of interest. I don’t see what the problem here is either.

For all we know she has a 401k, like us poor saps, that has equity in companies that have defense contracts...like General Electric, Caterpillar, Boeing, Honeywell...you know...big scary military industrial complex stuff. Hell. Who supplies ketchup to the mess halls? Heinz? John Kerry didn’t divorce his wife/wallet.

As an example, here’s what’s being auto-recommended to me out of some recent FA articles:

You know, if you’re so inclined, there are other blogs out there that you can follow. Or, you could start your own.

Or, you could keep trolling whenever something you disagree with is posted.

You are literally the first person I’ve ever heard refer to Tyler as an idiot. It’s not about which side of the political spectrum the articles are on, it’s the fact they are here at all.

Eh not really. FA has always had a mix of awesome military hardware and dumbass military/political moves (A-10 on and off retirement, F-35 clusterfuck, Amphibious Ships that can’t do any of the things they were designed to etc.)

Lol. Poor FTA. Used to be about military planes, trains, and automobiles, now it’s about the two biggest clowns in politics. How’s readership since management decided to turn FTA political and then Rogoway leaving? I have no idea why Rogoway left, but, the timing of it all is quite the coincidence, or it’s not...

Except, no carriers.

I like that his edit is still not great.

It’s readily apparent that absolutely no Gizmodo Media articles get copy editing unless one writer informally asks another to look over it. The errors are pandemic.

Believe it or not, one psychological test observed that the stress of landing on a carrier causes pilots more is more stressful than what troops experience in combat.

I’m guessing they will shut down main propulsion and tow them with tugs, possibly even electric - the propulsion on large vessels probably will not work well in the confines of a tunnel anyway, too powerful, would create all sorts of currents, and only a ship with good bow thrusters etc. could navigate it.

Why is this on FA?

It will DEFINITELY go over budget. Just sayin’.

The Cs and Ds are some of our oldest airframes, I’m sure there would be significant maintenance savings if we retired these airframes instead of newer F16s as we receive F35s.

A/S/L?

There’s no such thing as copy-editing here. You could email the article to an Indian for a couple of bucks and they wouldn’t even spring for that.

It gets even better. If I’m not mistaken that carrier hull was purchased from Russia, wasn’t it?

“That said, the ship has proven to be very vital for Russian military operations in Syria.”
