Their Air Force is teeny!!
The pentagon is wasteful? Without wading into that issue, I point out that everyone of these ships in maintenance and planes in a hanger was appropriated by congress. Second, getting rid of stuff we don’t need is next to impossible, example, the A10.
In my own opinion, Putin’s end game is to take what he wants but not to take over an entire nation and all of the Geo-political and internal headaches that will come from that.
Dude, you are an absolute idiot. Sweden has absolutely no coastline, cislands, territories, claims, ice bases, snow forts, or snowmen on the Arctic Ocean.
What Arctic territory does Sweden have “similar to Denmark”?
Ok but to be clear, Sweden has some territory above the Arctic circle, but no access to the Arctic Ocean.
Why does Sweden have an arctic stake?
A billion Canadian dollars!
A few thoughts:
Actually, despite what either side has said, or not said, the fact that US and Russian warplanes have been flying combat missions in the same air space for quite some time now without incident is clearly indicative that coordination between these air forces is occurring. I’m certain it is not the same thing as joint…
Where in the NATO treaty does it outline that a refugee crisis in a particular year allows a signatory nation to be a deadbeat on their GDP based defense spending obligations, for that year, and for the previous decade?
II do not believe that to be the case at all. As many other commenters have pointed out, the pattern of NATO nations underfunding their defense spending obligations contained in the treaty dates back for a considerable period of time.
I basically agree with every point you’ve raised regarding Russia, I have the same fears and see similar threats. I’m also not a fan of the US adopting an isolationist approach, as much of the post WW2 peace and prosperity we have all enjoyed continues to depend on careful US leadership.

Welcome to Foxtrot Alpha. I very much enjoyed this site and look forward to your efforts to restore it to the valuable blog it once was.
Stealth BUFF!!
Or replace the B52 fleet......
Plus, one should expect this when attempting to fly aviation dinosaurs. The age of these airframes is a national embarrassment.
