Porsche HAS to bring these two with e-boost technology from launch, not three or four years down the line... I couln’t give a rat’s ass about the size of the engine but I would never accept the lag that comes with heavily turbocharged engines in cars that are meant to be serious drivers’ cars. If Audi can do it (TT

Two words: electric turbos. Porsche (like Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Volvo...) will eventually hybridize its entire lineup, which is an amazing thing in terms of throttle response. See what Audi did with the TT Clubsport Concept, for instance - sweet stuff!

The bike looks nice (although a bit generic), but the throttle response HAS to be improved over the MT-09 - that thing is close to unridable around town. Also, if they’ve increased the seat height compared to the MT-09 (as they did in the XSR700 compared to the MT-07) only 6-footers will be able to put both feet flat

I think you’re spending too much time looking at men...

Money being no object probably supercar money, around 300k. Beyond that you’re not buying into the engineering anymore, and I like to think I’m above such shallow status anxiety displays...

What do you mean by “cars built to last for generations”? Are current NA Porsches really cars built to last more than 8-10 years? If so, why would that change only because they’re getting a couple of turbos?
