I won't disagree - it was definitely a game where they first found out they could make something look fast and smooth, then worked on the "attitude" later, but something similar could be said about Nintendo's properties: make a gameplay hook first, then design a narrative around it.

Hold down "A" longer. (Applies to Kinja, but your comments are going to look like you're screaming.)

If we leave, then there's no one left to demonstrate what makes Gameological great.

One can only stand on yellow, and the other only on blue. It's going to be a shock-collar of a good time!

Oh! I forgot; there's also an unofficial Discord Group…

I know you've been busy with your now-no-longer-new job, but yeah, you've always had a good, unique insight and perspective on games, so your comments have added to the conversation.

I'd love to do that with portable systems! It'd be a great way of sitting around a game table.

It's remote, and the racetrack is BIG, which makes our 22 car field look tiny, but we make up for it by being fast…we manage 220mph with only 575hp!

Cool! Last year, @spice_weasel was out at the racetrack and I got to see him for a few minutes.

I've bounced out of After Dark as well, so I need to give it another shot. Thanks for mentioning it!

By the time I post this, I'll have landed in Scranton, PA, on my way to a race in the Poconos (I'm composing offline in the plane).

Do us a favor and at least lurk over on the new layout! I hope you join at some point, as we love your insight. Miss you already…

Congratulations on your purchase of a rare and soon-to-be highly desirable game system! I'd recommend also looking digitally at games like Affordable Space Adventures in order to ensure you don't miss out on what makes the GamePad so special and unique. Also, look for Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director's Cut, ZombiU,

Actually, no - continue if you wish! It just struck me wrong when it was the first post without any context from the Keyboard Geniuses.

On consoles, I fully agree with you about digital. My threshold is about $15-20 there, and even then it better be special.

If I may suggest, if the game is on GOG, then you can burn the install onto a DVD and consider it "physical", because they don't use DRM on their games. For me, that's most of the value in having a physical copy - the archival capacity of it and the fact I can do with it as I need (save pirating - I've outgrown that).

Thanks for the tip! Believe it or not, my wife is shopping around all the different regions right this minute. We're sort of the "anything but the usual" type of people, but she's looking up Maui to see if it could work!

That's totally me, too. After Perfect Dark, I did some Mouse and Keyboard stuff with the Dreamcast (yes, that's right) and Quake Live on PC and stopped. I never learned modern twin-stick shooters, so I'm still king at the slow pace of N64 FPS.

No better metaphor has been written yet. Thank you so much for that keen insight!

I've not played The Stanley Parable yet, but I think Portal can be occasionally disorienting, especially when you put both holes on the floor and start tumbling back and forth, trying to figure out of which end you're finally going to land. In a similar vein, Antichamber is a great trippy experience of both illusions
