Even after my comments on Twitter this week, you might have well sold me on the Guardian amiibo. (By the way, Anchel Labena to whom I was replying works at NapNok Games and worked on Affordable Space Adventures!)

I'm tempted to get the Virtual Console version, now that I have a New Nintendo 3DS, but it's also a good reason to pull out my Famicom Game Boy Micro… I figure I'll finish ALBW first, then decide.

I'm struggling to get to Planescape: Torment right now. Chris Avellone is very much in the spotlight right now, but I can't pull myself away from Zelda to invest into it. It doesn't help that it's on my PC, and after working on my PC all day, I don't want to sit at it in the evenings, nor do I want to spend the time

I can't wait for that one!

It's interesting to note the color schemes of the New 2DS XL vaguely match those of Sun and Moon.

I'll be happy to avoid that in the future, if it really is a bother! I like that this group can have an event like that and still laugh and have fun. Next month, Venerable Monk Singing Brakeman is going to be the Race Director, so it'll be fun to see what's in store for July!

I'm loving the music. I'm in the "Tornado Rod" dungeon right now, and the bassoon is somber and sweet.

I'm in Texas this weekend, so I missed last night's Mario Kart 8 on the 8th for June…I hope everyone had fun!

    Ugh. I hate separating variables.

    Remember a few things:
First, the development cycles begin long before these Directs, and surely before the unknowable success of their new console. Switch was in their plan to replace the Wii U, therefore it would make sense that games most appropriate for Wii U development were considered first for Switch.

Thanks! The forecasts keep getting better! We've had our share of miserable weekends in the soup here on Belle Isle, so this is most welcome.

I want to see the Gameological Q&A come back! I love the developers' reactions to the questions we ask; questions that are creative and weird while still being thoughtful.

Snake Eater 3D is in my 3DS travel case for when I finally get out of my Zelda kick and am ready to enjoy a crazy, whimsical ride through the early Cold War. I've only watched the Bond-style opening so far, and it's fantastic.

Posted! I'll let you generate the URL, as I don't have access to it on my phone.

Sounds like a good plan. If everyone limits their post to their Disqus username and code, it's an efficient use of space as the list grows.

Ah! I was mistaken! Good catch.

Ooh. That reminds me: how do we build a new version of this for Switch?

You nailed it - and that's so much why games are art, as so many games can be reduced to some variation/combination of Simon and Pong…

Actually, yes! The music has been lovely, and it feels like Mario Kart 8 "live performance" music, rather than the system generating music from a MIDI file.

Well…there's not exactly a Splatoon Group yet…there is an Overwatch discussion channel, and a MK8 on 8th channel, but those are for texts. Voice is set up by Platform, so with our small group if you just want to talk to a friend while playing, put them on there, and you can voice chat in a group. We do it every month
