I know it's so awful, but I sorta hope they end up together. But then again, Peggy is being a raging ass so far this season, so maybe I don't want them to end up together.

Yes, very possible. I almost added Ted Chaough, too, because even though he's Don's nemesis, they both have a grudging respect for each other's abilities. Having those really talented people around pushes everyone to do better and both Don and Ted are smart enough to realize that. BUT I don't know if Peggy could work

That scene seemed so weird and arbitrary. Like, "Hmm…we're three episodes in and haven't seen a hooker yet. Write in a hooker somewhere."

I agree about Joan. I thought she would at least be cordial, but she was two steps away from being outright hostile. How quickly she forgets that not that long ago she faced a similar situation while out on maternity leave she thought her position had been eliminated.

That ending was so Sopranos to me. Deliver a zig instead of a zag and end the episode.

The music in these two episodes has been great.

I googled and est didn't start until the 70's, but I'm sure it was preceded by similar cults.

I completely agree. I had a similar thought when Peggy had her breakdown. She so completely captured those feelings of despair and loneliness in her cries.

I totally agree with everything you said!

I think Don's comment about thinking he could make it work this time was similar to last season when Gleason's daughter said his heart was broken and he said, "You can hear that?"

She said she was going to church but "not in a way you would understand." I'm guessing it's some kind of self-improvement cult, like "est" or something similar.

I think it was just an oversight. Peggy's mom is such a large figure in her life, that her passing would be huge.

Airports are this season's elevators.

Oh I saw it a few days ago on Twitter so I thought it had previously aired.

I remember reading recently that Weiner HATES doing those previews, but it's required to by the network, so that is why they are so vague.

She's always been an entitled brat who has had an attitude with him. I get having an attitude about Jane, but throughout the entire series every time we see her she's whining about something.

"It's just me and my ganja" and "Birds! Birds! Birds!" are said in our house frequently, too.
