I don't agree with this. I liked the different story that the Exile brought to the table, and appreciated looking at the actions of Revan from another angle.

I respect that opinion, and haven't played NWN 2 (sitting in my Steam backlog) so can't comment on it. But counterpoint about Avellone: Planescape: Torment.
Huh. Yes, I too felt that Revan was more compelling as a female, and that the Exile from 2 worked better as a man, despite canon (who cares?) saying otherwise.
She went right up to the brink with me. In retrospect, I can see how she's basically an avatar for Chris Avellone's deconstructionist streak, but (to me) she was still a well-written enough character* who put the Force into a new and interesting light, in a way that contrasted well with the pablum of the prequel…
After the experimental comment system of the last week, the AV Club got me to do something I never thought possible: Appreciate old Disqus.
I'm going to comment on every new article that's Star Wars related and has gone back to the old comment layout.
Two points:
1. THANK YOU for not filing this under that other garbage system you've been using for Star Wars week. Another layer and click to get to the comments is aggravating, and if you were pulling a New Coke type deal to get me to appreciate even the "old" Disqus, congrats.
Haven't watched Banshee or Rectify, but upvoted for Hannibal, which I was with almost from the beginning, and Justified, which I only started soon after it ended.
Still counts. A hit is a hit.
Actually, last time, the line into the romantic was crossed, you'll remember.
If Dahrk starts smoking Oxy, this show is gonna get CRAZY.
"He *triiiiied* to kill me with a fork lift!
Shut up and take my money!
There was the line. And @Archmage cast Haste on himself and ran right over it.
Now I loved Tomorrow Never Dies; for one thing, Jonathan Pryce was a memorable Bond Villain in a different mold, and Michelle Yeoh played one of the best Bond "girls" of all time.
I don't know if this movie is going to be any good or not, but damn it's going to LOOK amazing.
cf: Robert Quarles.
I don't believe that. I think that if the GOP is so daft as to put Trump or Carson at the top of their ticket, Hilary is going to mop the floor with them. She'll be able to whip up the liberal turnout she needs, no problem, with the spectre of President Trump. The latino vote—already 75% D in 2012, will probably…
Good grief.
The pilot? Watch the first stretch of episodes, which is what it takes to find its footing, and see if you care for them. Then ride it for as long as you care to. Season three is extremely uneven, and I even almost gave up during the last Nada Parbat stretch, but you always jump ship whenever you want.
