I remember first seeing Aisha Hinds in True Blood and I've always enjoyed seeing her pop up in other shows, but holy hell. THIS needs to be her Emmy submission.

That Abigail subplot is in the book, though. I'm not saying that makes it worth including in the show, as it's completely stupid and unnecessary in the book as well. But it did come from the source material, so not entirely the show writers' fault.
The show deviates from the novel in regards to Madeline's kids. In the book Abigail is only 14 and Nathan walked out on them when she was still a baby. Madeline and Ed also have a son that is a few years older than Chloe (9 or 10) and Chloe is only 5, not 6. But yes, Chloe and Skye (Nathan and Bonnie's daughter) are…
Best Paula comment of last night's episode (paraphrased): "If you're not connecting with the audience, they are not going to connect." Umm…??
Omg, my mom used to say that ALLLL the time when I was growing up. =)
Yes, that was bugging me, too! I don't know what the accent is supposed to be, but the actor that played him in season 1 (Ian Hart) is from Liverpool. The dad in last night's episode is Andrew Howard, who is from Wales.
I appreciate that but I really don't know how else to word it, as there are no other terms to describe us other than Hispanic or Latino. (Maybe that's the problem.) I can't speak to your friends or their own experiences, but I grew up in South Florida, where there are latinos from every single country, and we all…
I was being flippant, not literal when I said DNA, due to my annoyance with Daphne. But I was not referring to her nationality/citizenship. Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory, so if you're referring to nationality then Puerto Ricans are American. If she were to identify her nationality as American, that would be correct.…
I LOOOOATHE Daphne and agree with every single point you made. Additionally, as a Latina woman with two actual Latino biological parents, I was really peeved when Daphne described herself as Puerto Rican to the professor. Bitch, you are NOT Puerto Rican! Both of your biological parents are white. There is not one drop…
I was thinking she's a paralegal?
