I believe that, since all of Dave Matthews songs fucking sucked.

I mean, the obvious answer is a 3.6L 911 Turbo swap.
For this kind of scratch, I hope it comes with recently re-vulcanized tires and a fresh tank of petroleum distillates.
I’m not sure where you’re looking, but a quick Cars.com search shows the cheapest Mark VII at 28 and change, and that’s a 2015 with nearly 40k miles.
I will say that the lingering effects of racing sponsorship are strong and unpredictable. Things I have a bizarrely favorable impression of, despite knowing little or nothing about them:
If you wander into the wrong neighborhood, you might get Silk Cut.
I think you’re probably right. What terrifies me is the idea that you might be wrong.
The other advantage the Type R has is that it’s so much slower that you have more time behind the wheel to savor it.
I agree completely. As long as it’s the correct 2 wheels.
True. Look at the Golf R and ask, “how many turbos does that thing have?” I mean, it’s got four exhaust pipes, so probably it has at least one...
Mark VI Rs had undefeatable traction control (though that could be fixed with a quick tweak to the software).
I’m not sure any of these are accurate.
Right. Though for the life of me I can’t figure out why you’d go through all of this heartache instead of just buying a Golf R for 4K off sticker.
Goddamnit yes. This. If there’s any doubt that the NRA is a racist hate troll organization aimed at paunchy middle aged white guys like my uncle, their reaction to the Castile shooting should wipe it away.
Ah, interesting. That’s out this year?
248 miles measured by what standard? My guess is that it will be less than that using the EPA standard; EU range standards are even more optimistic than the EPAs.
Well played. Also ew.
I mean, it’s not my cup of meat. But I doubt you’ll find another like it in this condition. Malaise era cars are probably never going to be properly collectible (911s aside), but this is a legitimately gorgeous example of a historically interesting car. The USGP trim is icing on the cake.
