I honestly didn’t get the AOC vibe until you pointed it out. Maybe if they had her hair pulled back and/or they gave her big round glasses? I just took her as the opposite of the “old white guy” - a young brown woman fitting with the broad brush strokes all of the characters are painted with.

When I first saw the film it was like - Hell yeah, I’d ditch that whining mass of suburbia in a heartbeat! But I would have made sure I took Barry and his mom with me. That was the family he deserved.

the animation style aside- it looks like they just give up when it comes to drawing the hands. they may work “in action” but still frames show just how crappy they look. They change proportion, they don’t turn naturally in space, etc... I think it’s more apparent because they have 5 fingers where most cartoon…
