Asoak Tano is a Mary Sue. Full of virtue and spunk, but ultimately not allowed to impact the course of the narrative of the overall arc of the fall of the jedi as defined in the mainline feature films.

how about characters with simple, easy to remember names? the OG movies had them. Ben, Luke, Han, Leia. Even the 6-9 er’s had Finn, Rey, Poe.

I’m glad you brought up that connection because in FSM, Jason also played a character named Peter who was feeling trapped in his unfulfilling and repetitive job as a composer of “Ominous Chords” for Sarah’s show.

Craig Robinson strikes me the same way that Danny McBride does in that he’s usually the weakest part of the projects he’s in. His ad-libs are never as good as the written material. Just an opinion, YMMV

I think they missed an opportunity during their big scene together if Lily asked Forest if he really loved his daughter. If yes then she could say “Are you sure you are not just reacting to predetermined programming? “ and if no then she could say “then why all the fuss?”
