i brought up his narcissism to my dad (an avid Fox News watcher) sometime around the primaries and laid out why it’s a plausible theory based on his behaviors etc. because one of my guilty pleasure internet black holes is the RaisedByNarcissists subreddit and many of the behavioral trends narcissists tend to display…
i also think the Democrats have been “rising above” for way too long and it’s getting them absolutely crushed at the state level. the GOP obstructs legislation and refuses program expansion at the state level, then turns around and points the finger at the Dems for all the world’s problems.
i forget where i saw it but there was an article or segment or something talking about how some rural white people receiving benefits literally believe there are other “welfare” programs (for black people) and they aren’t on welfare (they are) so cutting welfare programs won’t hurt them (it will)
the Venn diagram of “single-issue abortion voters” and “people who refuse to consider the notion that they may in fact be a little racist” is very nearly a single circle
here’s my thing, though - your first paragraph is by no means incorrect. plenty of families are feeling economically insecure and prioritize accordingly.
i started crying at the quotes her team was live-tweeting from the speech, so i haven’t watched the entire thing yet either because i know i don’t have enough chocolate or wine to get me through it
it was a fetus. she did not intend to disfigure the fetus, she intended to terminate her pregnancy.
agreed. it’s also not completely out of the realm of possibilities that she genuinely did not know she was pregnant until after 16 weeks, tried to seek an abortion once she figured it out, was too far along for clinics in her state to provide her with care, and tried to self-abort as a last resort once she had…
i saw a great article (i think) right after the primaries talking about how the Dems’ worst enemy is themselves because the infighting between different factions on the left (progressives, environmentalists, etc.) inevitably results in one or more of those sub-groups taking their ball and going home and not voting for…
i agree with paragraphs 2-5 in your comment above and the rest of my comment is not directed at you specifically but at all of the people who, over the last 24 months, have been making blanket statements similar to your first paragraph.
why do you alt-right weirdos talk in a mixture of Old English and Victorian flowery prose
honestly - yes that is exactly what he thought. that’s why he still wants to hold rallies after he’s inaugurated. he wants all the praise with none of the work
i was so angry for the first couple days after the election because of all the media takes saying “we didn’t reach out to try to understand the middle of the country, wahh wahh it’s our fault for being elitist”
i’ve seen guys get rejected (sometimes nicely, sometimes not) and even THAT doesn’t deter them
yup. because active duty military knows the extent of our involvement in so, so many foreign affairs and how crucial it is to have someone smart and experienced at the helm at the end of the day, regardless of their party.
any and all people coming to DC on official business will probably be required to stay in his new hotel (and pay full price)
when preliminary lists of potential Trump administration positions were going around it seriously read like someone had asked a high school senior to name a bunch of Republican people
this is a much more measured reply to that guy than i would have been able to give, so kudos to you
oh i know. and the worst part, to me, is that he’s doing exactly what the GOP bitches about Dem politicians doing. Fox News loves to point out exactly how many days Obama has taken as “vacation” (even though Bush the Lesser took more, i think)
