I’m curious what part of Spoiler’s backstory sounds like a fit for “drug runner.”
That said, the replacement Batwoman should be Chloe Bennet playing a different Kane in the Bat-family. Or rather, a Cain.

I think you and mikefoo both hit parts of it. I think mikefoo’s right that this is an example of Rick’s arrested development and refusing to make a choice.
That said...I think this let him give Beth both options. And I think that also reflects on his own internal conflicts. For whatever reason, Rick was an absentee…
He’s got this kind of arrested development thing going on, where he can use his genius and technology to avoid the difficult choices, conversations and consequences that are part of being an adult. This is just yet another example of that, where someone who's really struggling comes to him with a difficult choice…
It seems to me that Rick’s ‘failure’ to make the decision for Beth ensured that both Beths are equally valid since no one, including him, knows which one isn’t ‘real,’ and I think that was the best way to handle the whole thing? I mean, I feel like he actually did something objectively Good there, even if it came from…
What you mentioned about how “cold” Snyder’s Watchmen was emotionally is one of my biggest problems with his approach. There’s moments in his films that do their best to look epic. But because they’re untethered from any audience or character investment they don’t feel epic.
Though “hang out with bottomless cheerleaders” would be a pretty lucrative fundraiser.
“Imagine a director saying “we won’t hire a gay woman to play this role because the character is straight”.
I was in my mid-twenties when this came out, and it was the greatest movie of all time.
Ten years later; it’s still a great movie, but I wish those damn kids would get off my lawn...
If true, this will hurt any future job prospects. Nobody wants to hire someone perceived as lazy.
And we never saw her again.
Super unfair. Colin Baker got screwed over by a bull-headed BBC director who wanted to cancel Doctor Who no matter what because he personally hated sci-fi and wanted to funnel its budget to more dramatic shows, even though the show had consistent ratings and made more in merchandise than it cost to make. Eccleston had…
I never heard that story. I head he and Davies butted heads a lot. Mostly over the fact that he was not really a comedic actor and he wanted to play The Doctor far more serious and stern, as he was early on in the first series but Davies was pretty open on the fact that he wanted The Doctor to become more lighter and…
In the immortal words of Don Draper, ‘that’s what the money’s for!’.
Man I’m torn on this one. I work in the industry, I know how awful the hours can be. Even during this pandemic, I’ve continued to work full hours from the office, coordinating all the various edits my company is overseeing, and getting file assets to all the editors working remotely. And then I go home and I work…
Tone? Maybe. By Whedon was also involved in the writing prior. So some of those moments could be scripted.
I know they want to cast someone from the LGBTQ+ community, but I still think they should just slot over Rachel Skarsten so she can play both twins.
Its been said many times that Whedon didn’t change the plot, just added whitty dialog scenes here and there. Sure they are part of the movies tone issues but the overall plot of the film with the motherbox Mcguffins and the boring villian are center to its problem and there is no way those are not part of the Snyder…
Not really. People just love to find ways to justify their opinions and beliefs. They didn’t like the film, so they attribute anything they didn’t like to a “reshoot” and found “evidence” in those scenes to justify it being reshot.
Such as how many believe any scene with humour was Whedon, ignoring that he’d already…
Way too many organizations treat cheerleaders as sex toys for wealthy donors. And somehow the deputy general counsel let this happen?
