That’s a fair way to look at it. Thanks for sharing that perspective.

Agreed. They are obviously still prone to the same human pain most people experience. She sounds like she is obviously suffering which is to be expected considering the type of violence they used.
That is a part of what I am saying. Society seems to scale crimes against them differently which leads to some of the cynicism highlighted by the OP.
No comment on her actions. It’s the gestalt of the situation in its entirety. The themes of fame and celebrity provide a different syntax to crime than does violence perpetuated against an average Joe. It’s obviously highlights it differently but it also seems to affect the way people value the outcome. That is the…
No one deserves to experiences that type of trauma or violence. That should be universally condemned. But they also don’t deserve any extra attention. This happens every day to people but it doesn’t grab the attention the way it does with celebrities. That is an injustice unto itself and one that I think people…
Spell check got me. Was unable to edit it by the time I noticed as the time limit kicked in.
On a side note, I would love to see Disney treat Jesus and Christianity with the irreverent stereotyping they have Polynesian religion in Moans. Sure that would fly over well.
Who in Cirque du Soleil thought this pairing was good for their brand? This would be the equivalent of Verizon sponsoring an event with “that crackling sound from old land lines”.
Depression is a virulent disease. It’s great to have celebrates being honest and bringing attention to that reality. I hope treatment helps. I can’t wait to live in age when mental health is treated like any other disease, ie not stigmatized and coveted by health insurance.
I applaud defiantly. Hmmm
I have no clue what it was referring to either. An inside joke? A reference to a statement deleted in editing?
Who edited this post and thought that transition from Robin William’s dementia to “the death drive” sentence was a good idea? How awkward and poorly constructed.
Indeed. And its a noticeably regressive definition of conservatism, ie not just budget ideology. It’s seems conservatives are throwing their libertarian underpinnings of justice and liberty completely out for pro-white male privileges:”pro-life” (ie antichoice), xenophobic domestic and foreign policy,…
He has been losing the electoral college for months. Clinton’s knows how to strategize there and I doubt Trump’s has that level of sophistication. But Trump has kept the popular vote closer than anybody thought possible a year ago. That could be exploited to win over the next 5 weeks. If you look deep into the…
That is what is frightening about all of this. Hillary is consistently shown winning the electoral college in detailed polls but Trump somehow stays within roughly 2% in the popular vote.
That is the one link to data you used to support your massive jump.
We can only expect double that, roughly 60%, to show up for the November election if recent history holds true.
A quick survey of that link and those pills show most of them near dead heat considering the margin if sampling error. That would indicate a very close race not your claim.
So it’s logically inappropriate to use this year’s primary voting data to guestimate relative party interest but totally acceptable to jump from an increase in independent voters in a 2015 PEW poll to the claim that Republicans will never win the presidency again?
Anybody know if there is precedent for this type of Title IX lawsuit to be successful?
