My uncle was a detective for 25 years. He sees a therapist because it seriously messed with him. It would take a psychopath to see the things detectives and not be damaged.
Sometimes stereotypes exist for a reason. I would be terrified to meet a detective not troubled by his or her work.

I sincerely suggest the AV Club invest in a copy editor. The author of this review has zero understanding of when to use "whom" instead of "who." Is this supposed to be a joke because the show's title is grammatically incorrect, or did this reviewer simply skip grammar lessons in elementary school.
