I played in a school band through middle school (6, 7, 8 grade) I loved playing music but, wasn't a fan of playing the Alto Sax. I bought myself an electric guitar in high school and started playing with some friends. In college I played in a few blues bands and never really made any money at it, but got to perform

...actually you get a special badge that says "Mile High Club, We didn't let the terrorists win"

Wish I wasn't in Juneau, Alaska right now surrounded by massive mountains and in the middle of a week long torrential downpour. Oh well, at least the aurora borealis should be good this winter so long as we get some clear nights to watch them.

About two years ago I read about a new piece of malware that was infecting people's machines via porn video sites. It would entice the viewer by offering to let them watch all their PRON in high definition, they just needed to download a "special" player. I laughed while reading the article about how gullible people

I'll second on Potato Salad - Mom style....

...but for those of us that do live in areas where it's easy to catch your own fish it's a great add on, although deep fried anything should be eaten on special occasions and not regularly. Generally I just prefer to grill my fish with a little lemon pepper. As expensive as it is to live in Alaska all the great

Hmmm I love Teriyaki chicken rice bowls with veggies heaped on top.... so good and easy to make.

It's amazing the things you can cook in a slow cooker and in a rice cooker. Two of my must have kitchen appliances. I love coming home from work and opening the door to the smell of a roast in a slow cooker.

I think there is some unwritten rule. Maybe because you'd never confuse blue liquid for urine and if you poo is blue... you might need to go see a doctor.

Sorry.... can't.... help.... it...

For my own machines I use the preset password option, but for friends and family I just have them tell me what the new passcode each time so they know I can only access their machines when they let me. Not surprisingly most my friends were initially a little concerned about giving me access to get on their machine at

I've been using TeamViewer for the last couple of years for family and friends tech support. Amazing everything it can do for a free (for personal use) app.

I bought Mocha a while ago when there was a sale. It works well enough, but has gotten kinda laggy and crash prone on my older iPhone 3G after several updates. For personal use I've switched over to TeamViewer. While not a VNC based solution it does essentially the same thing and is free for personal use and is

Power to the underused "middle" mouse button!

"Walking Dead forbids fans from asking about Frank Darabont’s departure at Dragon*Con"... and so guarantees fans asking about Frank Darabont's departure after Dragon*Con.

This works well for legitimate mass emails, but I still get a decent amount of SPAM in my email with the unsubscribe option at the bottom. If I haven't done business with them before and am not familiar with their website then I consider it SPAM. I don't want to click unsubscribe for that random email that's

In most web browsers to return to the default zoom setting just use "ctrl + 0" (it's a zero) as zooming in or out does totally break some websites formatting.

...and that's how the first zombie plants came into being...

I never understood the real difference between Windows + M and Windows + D. I generally use the "D" option as hitting it a second time brings all the windows back up as they were before.

I've trained most my users to use that keyboard shortcut when they get an error window pop up so I can see the actual error when they have a problem. It's made troubleshooting much quicker since if it's an error I'm not familiar with a quick Google search before I head down will usually get me pointed in the right
