How does that go against what I said? OF COURSE if a soldier, someone who is expected to obey orders, doesn’t do what they are told they are punished. It’s almost as if the military expects obedience! It’s almost as if the military expects soldiers to do what they are told!

Here’s the thing - when we only expect bad acts from “monsters” it allows the regular people who commit such acts to keep getting away with it. Because these people aren’t monsters. They’re people. They’re nice to their friends and colleagues, they’ve held the door open for little old ladies, they’ve helped a buddy…

The “the soldiers won’t follow the orders!” people are probably some of the dumbest people I’ve ever encountered. One of the biggest reasons for military training is to create soldiers that do what they are told without question. 

Not those gen Xers who were born in 1980. We’re too old to be millennials but we have to deal with the same shit!

My husband and I were on the fence until we thought I was pregnant.
