Sorry about the multi-comment. Don't know what the heck is happening... :(

I've been part of a raging debate about this film, but I gotta say it looks fun. It's not the "classic" portrayal of the GH, but then again, what really is? The debate is really that the old school fans *hate* that this has a comedic tone to it, that the Green Hornet can't be campy. But I mean... [www.youtube.com]

Turtledove is fun but a little overrated.

@Biku: Fucking Aye! Love that show.

@Raidenshred: Don't get me wrong it's a quality show, (I love it) but there are better shows that get neglected. :(

I love me some Firefly, but for a show that lasted 14 episodes and one movie it gets waaaaaaaaaay too much attention here.

I think this brings up a good discussion of "adaptation." Ultimately which is the "right" version of the character? Is it really an insult to the character to make this version more comedic? Or would it be better for it to be super serious and dark? Wasn't the TV series a little campy? Or should everything fall in

I dunno, I'm actually looking forward to it, which is a little surprising. I know that some of the old timers HATE it with a blinding passion, though I can't understand why.

Waste of time and money. Fan films — with the exception of a few, and they're usually parodies — are pointless. I'd much rather have seen an original character and an original storyline.

I think saying the Phantom is "the dorkiest superhero ever" is kinda harsh considering he was one of the first, and generally considered one of the best. This movie doesn't help my case, but the Phantom is very much loved.
