I've been reading the novels by Rob MacGregor recently, most recently Genesis Deluge. They're light, fun reads. Decent diversions when you don't want to think about the stories your reading. They're pulp... just not amazing pulp.

Yeah, but how do they taste?

Theoretically Torchwood Miracle Day happened in the pre-Big Bang universe, and it was all canceled out when the Doctor restarted the universe.

Here's a modern pulp cover artist that you guys should know about, Mike Fyles. He's done work for Marvel and other publishers. All digital work, but with the mmm mmm good pulp flavor.

Here some alternate versions:

Voltron: The Third Dimension was pretty awesome...

Green Lantern... more like Green Lama!!! Am I right, folks?! I mean... Am I... Ahem... Never mind...

Seriously, with this Doctor and the TOS era you can effectively use the Cybermen to explain the origins of the

LOVE IT.

True, things like Splinter of the Mind's Eye, the Han Solo Adventures and the Lando Calrissian adventures predate, but from what I recall, the Thrawn Trilogy was the first real effort to legitimize the novels as the "Expanded Universe."

Also Luuke Skywalker is from the Thrawn Trilogy, the first and mostly considered the best expanded universe story out there.
