I think this man is disgusting and horrible, and what he does is shameful. That said, do we really need to fight his body-shaming with more body shaming? His work wouldn't be any less horrifying if he *was* an Adonis; public body-shaming is disgusting, fullstop.

Ahhh he's just so darling!!!

Oh man, agreed. I love me some tall gangly bespectacled awkward comedian sex appeal. Mmmm.

Holy cats these are incredible. I'm struck by the massive desire to mod-podge the shit out of every pair of shoes I own. My first attempt might be hipster-albums-covers, though.

Ugh, gross. Somehow it makes it worse that they *know* how disgusting + horrifying they are being.

Did the original photo use that weird, Goosebumps-esque lettering? I find creepshots deeply unsettling (what a frighteningly easy way to violate and undermine one's sense of safety and autonomy), but that font is just... not capturing it.

I think I'm in love with you. This advice is just... wonderful.

I didn't know that she had used the n-word or dressed up like that—it certainly changes my perception of her. Thanks for pointing it out. Still, I'll take a critical lens in some areas over no critical lens at all. I don't think recognizing some good aspects means you're obligated to forgive the bad aspects; rampant

I'm pretty sure Lindy West wins the internet *most* days. I just love her so much.

My first thought when I saw him was "God I'm getting old". I'm still quite young, and that dude looks like a baby to me. A cute baby, but a baby nonetheless.

Ugh, why can't I just project my weird commitment issues in PEACE!

I love the dudebros in my life, but "nohomo sapiens"? That's a Grade-A pun, right there.

You're a champion, Heather Simon. I'm pretty sure you've personally brought more of my comments up from the grey than anyone else. :)

Being a grey just feels like screaming into the void, sometimes. Every time I venture out into real-comment-land, I end up huddled back at groupthink after.

Raised_By_Heathens, how are you also a grey?!

I would totally call this dude, if it wasn't for the weird "and then start a family" bomb dropped at the beginning. Yikes.

I had an uncomfortable reaction to this as well. But I think she's trying to get at the fact that consent is really, really complicated. It's easy for me to preach 'enthusiastic consent! Only yes means yes!' all the time (and I do). But I've been in situations that were really, reallllly borderline non-consensual and

I know Lena Dunham is a polarizing figure, and I don't really have strong feelings about her one way or the other... but she does seem to have more of a critical lens than your average 'celebrity'. Imperfect, certainly, but I'm still impressed with her thoughtfulness here.

I've been watching interviews with him since you posted that comment, and my heart is all a-flutter. Ohhhh lordy.

Tragically true. But it's still good to remember that we are where we are today thanks to the advocacy and activism of previous generations! Just have to keep building on what they've done.
