It’s a shame that you didn’t get what you wanted from the event. But look at it this way - it’s not a disappointment, it’s a fun present!! Can you really be sour about a present?
Valve’s R&D is horrible.
I think the biggest part of this is the fact that Scott will continue to benefit from royalties and licensing agreements for the franchise. It doesn’t matter if Scott’s not the person writing the novel, Scott gets paid.
Nintendo deserves some roasting for this.
It doesn’t need 4K but it does need updated internals.
Sakurai has stated that it’s not up to him who’s added as a character - sometimes he doesn’t even know before the official reveal. Nintendo is in charge of making those decisions, and they frequently use it as advertisements for upcoming games.
It’s not a reach. Did you read Hikaru’s quote?
What really trips me up is...don’t fuck with the Start menu. Just leave it alone. Don’t get rid of it (like Windows 8) and don’t move it to the middle of the screen. Just leave it exactly where it has been for decades.
Totally agreed. But two factors really disincentivize that (and I guess show they really didn’t think things through)
I used this for grounds for a refund on the PC version. Super scummy to charge everyone the same price, and not disclose that Playstation versions get more content. They also had additional recurring bounties/rewards that were exclusive to PS4.
This protection is common for community testers (think beta or “insiders” tests). Because if you stream it or post gameplay, the bouncing indicators, which are annoying to edit out, tell CD exactly who you are.
I’m waiting for the return of furniture sets. This game is missing a majority of the furniture sets that have been mainstays of the series. In addition, furniture added to the DIY crafting usually isn’t enough for a full set, even if you mix-and-match it with other sets.
It’s worth noting that players are already reporting that some measures (such as reduced interaction distance) have been implemented with today’s patch.
What’s the big deal? After all, they’re not lootboxes, they’re fun presents!!
Here’s my predictions:
There’s no better time to announce that it shouldn’t be co-streamed than roughly 12 hours before the event.
There’s zero chance of this game getting released in the fall. The animations are stiff and the game looks totally unfinished.
“...and of course those with 250+ hours on record explaining how the game has never offered enough content.”
