I thought they did a great job with the execution of what they were going for in this episode and I really enjoyed it. That said, the hot girl thing is already annoying me. I can only tolerate so much of the men-turning-into-total-idiots around the hot girl shtick. Also she is attractive but just way too much make-up

I thoroughly enjoyed this episode but I am not entirely convinced it's because Jess wasn't in it. That said, I always enjoy a periodic shake-up of things in a sitcom.

Is Jess prudish? But no, I didn't think that line was one of the signs. Also if she's supposed to be prudish then I would say they haven't been very consistent about it. I mean she definitely acted naive about sex early in the show but I just decided she was just trying to be funny or manic pixie or whatever. She

OK so I'm not saying whether or not I'm a shipper but if I were I would have to note that they are definitely dropping some very subtle Nick/Jess Easter Eggs this season. One or two in each episode.

I think what Cece was/is actually attracted to in Schmidt is that he is fastidious. It was just not an accurate assessment on her account.

I really enjoyed this episode. Good pacing, a lot of Nick Miller, and the characters generally acting like idiots in a hilarious way.

I think this would be Jason from certain roles only. But Charlie Day in everything he's done. Although now I am picturing Jake Johnson doing a role like Jason's in Eastbound & Down and I'm kind of liking the concept… I think I would be into Jake in some R rated stuff.

I enjoy the relationship stuff but I do agree about the Honeyroast. That was pure awesomeness.

I also thought of the Seinfeld episode where a guy Elaine is seeing starts hanging out and going places with Jerry's parents.

Thank you! I thought Cece was being a total jerk, quite frankly. That initial thing she did with the over-pouring was unprovoked. What point was she trying to make? Nothing egregious had been done at that point. Nick asked her very nicely to measure the drink—not to mention is she not his friend? Does she not want

Yeah I love the way Winston dresses! And yeah Lamorne is incredibly talented. He plays that character with perfect pitch.

I'm pretty sure that was my favorite line of the episode.

"Ain't no prank like a badger prank 'cause a badger prank got badgers and it's dangerous as hell!"

So… you don't like the growth and monogamy and you don't like the lack of growth and the non-monogamy. ;) Rough crowd.

I mean, that's just really a personal preference of one type of scene over another. A sit-com is conventional by nature. It is about human behavior and the fundamentals don't change. You may feel the execution is weak or not creative, but simply having romantic relationships is built into the genre and is not some

Interesting. But aren't most humans wired to want both meaningful friendships and romantic and/or sexual relationships? Why would the writing of one somehow be more authentic than the other?

So is the season going to be half the normal length?

Not sure if this is mentioned anywhere in the comments but in that scene Nick's in red and Jess is in blue but otherwise they are in the same clothing items as with The Kiss. And this is really the first scene of this kind in the fourth season.

Yeah the show is in a bit of a bind with this if they don't want to end after just three seasons. Imagine the outcry then! So then what else are they supposed to do? I guess I'm cool with suspending disbelief on this topic in order to continue to be entertained by loft shenanigans and awkward flatmate situations.

Those are some very specific expectations for a show.
