Its going to be hard turning it left when it just wants to go right, into the stands.

Life, uh, finds a way.

That day had torrential downpour that one would described as “moonsoon like”. You are right in saying the city should figure out how to handle the rainwater better. Trust me, we have drainage issues for a long time and we get those types of rain quite often in the summer.

Something like this, I’m guessing...

That brings my other thought. From what I know as just anecdotes French cars are unreliable. I am not Googling French manufacturers reliability as of right now. I think a lot of people if they came over would just have that belief of French cars as bad.

“Also, keep in mind that, when it comes to actually helping those kids escape from that flooded cave, Elon Musk provided exactly as much help as I did.”

There are not enough stars for this response...

His tunnel boring machine must have hit a major breakthrough, given the rate at which he is digging himself in a hole.

We don’t have the White House in Canada and when we had Conservatives in the Parliament the price of gas was lower. Liberals passed new carbon tax laws which raised taxes on gas which transitioned to higher gas prices at the pump.

Can’t state something that doesn’t exist. I never mentioned a tax that “doubled” the price of gas in the past year. You did.

If you actually want to know who to blame, blame the people who produce and sell oil, and charge as much as they can get away with. That’s how capitalism works. They don’t have to “justify” anything except to their shareholders and regulators. Why should they charge less, when you still have to fill up every so often?

A couple months ago gas was hovering around a dollar mark, today it’s at $1.39. In Buffalo, NY gas is selling for $2.52 per gallon which is around $0.85 per liter.

As a Canadian who is fed up with high gas prices here is to hoping that truckers go full Maximum Overdrive on Brazil.

Right, because throwing people in prison definitely solves issues. Remember when Nixon solved the drug problem this way?

Ah yes, we need to add to the prison population problem due to... Blocking traffic.

a C5 Corvette will get 28+mpg cruising at 100, as did my old (early 90s) Taurus SHO. Fuel consumption at really high speeds is highly dependent on how slippery it is, much less so on overall engine power.

~4 lbs/hp versus ~23 lbs/hp. That seems like an even match to me

Wouldn’t it be more accurate to factor in average wages? They have not risen at the same rate as inflation.

Do this. Even better.
