Actually, you can. They can install sensors to ensure it is in neutral. If you leave it in gear the remote start will not function.
Simple solution to this:
Perhaps using Gatorade or Pedialyte as a mixer with your hard alcohol is the key to sucessful hangover-less binge drinking.
