True about that, I mean splurging for me is going out on a Friday, taking an Uber and meeting my friends for drinks and sometimes dinner.

15% of my paycheck goes into my 401k and other investments, trust me I will be a multimillionaire when I retire.  I don’t spend a lot of money, so just let me have this, it is my choice.  I work in a field that pays 6 digits a year plus bonuses, so I am not throwing my money away if I can safely afford it.  

Because I know what has been done, all the maintenance, mods and other repairs. I don’t want someones elses problem.

Cars are the only luxury I spend money on (well maybe a new gaming laptops every few years), I rather have a new car just about every time.

I did it once and got dinged on so many things, not mileage, but a small scratch here or a little ding there, that I ended up having to cough up a few hundred bucks on turn in. Will never do it again. Besides I usually drop a large enough down payment that I get close to what I would pay on a lease.

I tend to buy new all as I rather be the one that gets hit with the depreciation as I tend to keep cars for only 4 to 5 years before I upgrade again. Sometimes less if I am not happy with what I have. I only buy used if it is something I really wanted and is around 4-5 years old, but the mileage has to be under 70K. …

We are better, MA drivers are horrible CT is even worse for New England drivers. ME they drive too slow, unless you are in York or Cumberland counties. VT they are just zoned out, it is all the pretty landscapes that causes this. I will not comment about RI.

AS a NH resident you have no idea, we are widening 93 and they blow through the construction zones up to 30 over the 55 limit.  The road is narrow there are many accidents between exit 4 and the 293 split.
