I don't know about the governors, but if I remember people in my social studies classes growing up I'd say no. If they remember Japanese internment, I'm sure they would make excuses for it.

What are we even supposed to do about it? Track down the awful people and smash their computers? I'm at a loss on how to get assholes to stop being assholes when they are fairly entrenched in their behavior?

Huge fuck you to the terrorists responsible for those atrocities in Paris. And a slightly smaller, but still big fuck you to all the reactionaries who say we must keep the refugees out of the US. You know who else is anti refugee? The Islamic State! And by getting our hate on towards the refugees after the attacks, we

Still reading The Satanic Verses because damn was my past week busy and not full of enjoyable reading. I finally got past the backstories of the two main characters. Still not so sure what's satanic about the book yet.

Hey, I grew up outside of Binghamton! (Sees another poster in the thread refer to it as where fun goes to die). Yeah that sounds about right. Just have to mention desperately clinging to a long faded past and it sums up the place pretty well.

I think my last words will be "Delete my browser history!" Even if there's nothing particularly weird on it at the time.

Plus that LW still has a terrible acronym. Why must the specter of half assed write ins and responses haunt us so?

So I'm having trouble even commenting without my phone flipping out, scrolling past the end of the article makes it try to load another article and then my phone flips out some more. And somehow my history says I've loaded a completely unrelated article seven times in a row. Also everybody's avatar is gone. (Including

Good to know. I was wondering what that character was up to too.

I have not seen Gilmore Girls. Sorry. Plot wise it's a soap opera, but it retains a comedic feel to it I think.

I've been watching Master of None on Netflix. Only made it three episodes in, but it seems pretty decent. First episode wasn't really to my taste but the following two were enjoyable. (Send her a photo of a turtle walking out of a briefcase. Then quickly send another text saying "Whoops wrong number.")

In the one campaign I was in, one of my friends was playing an evil wizard. He wasn't very good at it. At one point he was interrogating a commoner about some quest or other. And he managed to get the guy pissed off enough to attack. He was then beaten up and nearly killed. By a level 1 commoner in D&D 3.5.

My reaction was pretty much your first line. My thoughts were pretty much "What the fuck?" "Oh yessss," and "Though I would have been happier with Cecil or Terra." (Mostly because their games were first on the SNES)

Did anyone yell out "There can only be one!"

Ah, I missed a D&D discussion. As a late side note, I'll mention I've only played one campaign, but my character (a halfling healer) did walk off into the sunset. Or rode off on a unicorn. But then the game ended shortly after I left it, so I like to say he died of a terminal case of boringness. (As in he was so

This weekend I will not be playing Fallout 4. In fact I will shake my fist impotently at you fancy system owners! Then a year from now I shall play Fallout 4.

Hey, he's a guy who fulfills some of his campaign promises at least.

Yeah it's a really context sensitive thing. I don't use the term. But I wouldn't say it's inherently sexist. And my views of it being a red flag might all be a result of having my views be skewed by how I see the term used. I have no idea which one of our experiences are typical

Same Love got hatesonged and I missed it? Damn! I've been waiting two years for that!

The term makes it sound like having a relationship is a game, and the friendzone is an undesirable area, a consolation prize at best.
