Front Mission 5 is probably one of the best games in the FM series. It tied up a lot of the loose ends from the other FM games in a pretty nice package.

Front Mission 5 is the best in the series. Though its scope isn’t as grand as 3's, the political intrigue and character development take on far more depth here, and it actually feels like a powerful military drama. The gameplay is also the best it’s ever been. Too bad no one will ever play it since it was never…
looks like I’m not the only one wishing for more Front Mission
The combat system was awesome. It definitely ranks up there for me.
I’m almost done with Xenoblade and its fantastic. I would do Last Story first because it has better pacing. Xenoblade just takes an enormous amount of time to get anywhere, even though ‘things’ are constantly happening. It’s just an epic story. Last Story is much more manageable.
I just made a comment about The Legend of Dragoon as well. I loved FFVII, but TLOD was probably my favorite RPG of all time. If only for its combat system.
No reason to leave out this one, which is also good;
Will do. The plan was to start it after finishing Xenoblade Chronicles, which I also never got around to...
Super Underrated:
Do it! Highly recommend it. It’s got just enough of a twist on the JRPG formula that it feels fresh without feeling too out there
I am surprised that no one brought up Legend of Dragoon. Came out around the same time as FF VII and was an excellent game.
I wasn’t talking about the technical issues I was talking about the whole sale rebalancing and upgrades to the battle systems them made. Entire Unions of Leaders instead of no-name mooks, completely new classes, being able to turn on and off the artes you want to use which makes the game way less random. They also…
I was pretty excited about getting The Last Story when it was released. Haven’t played it at all. I should get on that, I guess...
Just came here to say that Soul Blazer and The Last Story are both fantastic. Soul Blazer from the Enix heyday (really different game), The Last Story being of note because it’s by Hironobu Sakaguchi (FF creator) and Nobuo Uematsu (the FF music god). TLS has really fun characters, to boot. Nice list!!
I’m including most of those “small teams” in my description of indie developers - those are very much the guys working below the poverty line. You have teams getting paid salaries, who actually make money, and the rest who are self-financing/crowdfunding, and who are mostly not making money. Game sales follow power…
I don’t think we have to worry about a crash - for there to be a crash, there would have to be somewhere to crash from. In this case, the flood of games is made up almost entirely of indie productions, and almost no indie games were making money to begin with. (The average income for an indie developer is below the…
He is a big history buff and wanted to tell a story with AC that connected a historical adventure to a modern character. He was going to wrap up the series with an ACIII, though not the one we played. He didn’t want to talk about it much at E3, but he was telling me that it was going to be set in America, but not the…
“Common core” is even easier.
65 - 39:
39 + 1 =40 + 25 = 65
1 + 25 = 26.
No carrying of numbers necessary and can be done easily in your head.
Once you’re very proficient you can even work backwards to find “easy” numbers to add.
1931 - 985
985 + 15 = 1000
1000 + 900 = 1900
1900 + 31 = 1931
31 + 15 = 46 + 900 = 946.
No pen…
