Thank you. I’m definitely using this response in the future.

According to emails and reports first obtained by Al-Jazeera (American media outlets probably missed them because they didn’t contain Donald Trump tweets)

I can’t seem to figure out why, though...it felt thoroughly mediocre to me, and cut out all the beloved (cheesy) songs I remember from the original.

As long as Trump gets to play at being “President” and Roy Moore gets to run for Senate, and God knows what else is going on on the R side of the aisle, Franken and Conyers stay. Why would we throw our people under the bus when the other side refuses to?

Not dismissing the importance of this, but at this point, I’m less worried about the government interfering with a free press than I am about rich right-wing ideologues buying and dismantling all of the respectable press institutions we have left. We’re looking at a world where Sinclair, Rupert Murdoch and the Kochs

Considering the person I responded to was implying even Conyers shouldn’t resign because “politics is war,” I’d say not “every” Democrat agrees with me.

Politics is not TV. It’s war. Unilateral disarmament is an idiotic idea in the current environment. As long as Trump gets to play at being “President” and Roy Moore gets to run for Senate, and God knows what else is going on on the R side of the aisle, Franken and Conyers stay. Why would we throw our people under the

My inner monologue already does that for me, so it’s morbidly fascinating to me when other dudes VASTLY overestimate their prowess in almost every possible activity or subject matter. But if I had other people questioning my observations/feelings/plans all day the way I do to myself, I’d have a nervous breakdown

Because this has happened in Portugal where net neutrality was not enforced? Read the article, please. If you think ISP’s won’t do this in the US, given the chance, I’d like whatever you’re smoking.

Hear, hear. What Franken did may not rise to the level of Weinstein or Spacey, but that doesn’t make it acceptable. We shouldn’t be engaging in that kind of “whataboutism” the way the right does. If it was fucked up for a conservative to do, it’s fucked up for a liberal to do.

Wait, there’s no seasonal hunting for Turkeys in SoCal? Here in Central Texas I never found them to be a nuisance, but I was out in a more rural area. Hunting turkeys here is very common. Although I’ve heard that they aren’t necessarily good eating.

Yeah, fuck the other 52 percent of women in this state, right? Nevermind that they have been fighting tooth and nail (and probably more effectively than any other group in the state) to push back against Abbot and his merry band of shitstains.

A lot, but as a Texan I’ve been deeply moved by the tenacity and strength of progressive women in my state over the last few years. My sister has been doing a tremendous amount of organizing, advocating, protesting and other work to fight the good fight against Abbot and his band of neanderthals, and I could not be

HERESY!

Not to dogpile here, but you’ve expended about 20 times as much energy telling him/her how to look it up over and over (vaguely) than you would have used just naming one of the allegations you are referencing.

Nah, too quick. Fast-acting venom. How ‘bout a flood of brown recluses? That should be sufficiently agonizing.

Does that come with a free side? I’d like the crazy bread or bigot fritters, please.

I can’t imagine this not being a completely contrived excuse. Isn’t this the point of postmark dates? That’s how I used to do “poor man’s copyrights” of my music—sealed the score in an envelope, mailed it to myself, and saved the postmarked envelope as proof I’d written it by that date. This is also how paying a lot

Huh! What tribes have you seen a lot of up there? Is it mostly the same major tribes as in Oklahoma, eg Cherokee, Choctaw, etc? Central TX doesn’t have much tribal representation, although I know West TX has quite a few Navajo, Apache and others.
