That is a stacked year for Best Song nominees! And they each relate to the movie. I would probably gone with 9 to 5 because I have a soft spot for Dolly Parton and love that movie.

He seemed like a great guy—with tons of onscreen credits. Now he's reunited with Patty (and Cathy).

Interesting, I think the show kind of went off the rails in the later seasons. But, I haven't seen it in a long time.

Christina has said in interviews that, while she was a horrible mother, Joan was a terrific friend to people like Billy Haines (gay silent star who became a famous interior designer).

Yes, Baby Jane is Bette's movie. As much as I like Anne Bancroft, Bette was robbed of the Oscar that year. It was a totally fearless performance.

I'd say almost unwatchable. TCM shows it occasionally. I think there are Ed Wood movies with better production values.

Yeah, I guess I didn't mean "good" in the sense that it's actually a good movie.

I'm not mad at you, I'm mad at the dirt!

Some other good Crawford movies are Mildred Pierce, mentioned above (she won the Oscar, and has Eve Arden and an amazing performance from Anne Blythe), Flamingo Road (Joan starts out as a 40-something carnival hoochie dancer) and Torch Song (Joan does a blackface number, in the 1950's!).

Such a good movie—the lush theme song, 50's NYC, Suzy Parker. I need to see it again.

Military school…are you Donald Trump?

All the women in that movie were great—the men were fairly cardboard, except George Sanders (won the only acting Oscar for the movie) and the guy who played Max.

Pitt the Elder?

Interesting idea, and Hepburn did fine singing in Funny Face, but 1977 Elizabeth Taylor was a perfect aged courtesan.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the phrase "Sandy Dennis vehicle". I know, she won an Oscar for Virginia Woolf, and was good in The Fox, but I can't imagine a production built around her. I am really enjoying this series, COL.

Julie Newmar's body with Eartha Kitt's voice and attitude.

I had to watch on Cozi TV because our local affiliate (who also broadcasts Cozi) had stupid election coverage.

Lunch with Ru would have been much better than "talk to a picture of you as a child."

Eve Arden was awesome in Stage Door and Mildred Pierce and lots of other movies as the best friend.

Fabulous Baker Boys!
