There are WAY too many Fire Emblem characters. Personally, I think Pokemon is perfectly represented now, with both playable characters and Pokeball ones.

I definitely feel you, but... c’mon... it’s Waluigi. haha. Like I said in the first post, if Piranha Plant can get in, then surely Waluigi is no problem right?

If any character could be both a playable character and an assist trophy, it is Waluigi. haha.

When has Sakurai ever told the truth about Smash Bros announcements? Seriously? Don’t by into that. haha

That’s what I’m thinking. I never believe Sakurai anymore. He just lies through his teeth and throws curveballs at every possible opportunity. haha. Watch the very last DLC character be Waluigi just for the hell of it.

Well, I’m just going by the Japanese eShop terms, and it does say the DLC is “Fighter Pass 1”. That makes me think that maybe we’ll get another fighter pass. :)

Don’t give up hope yet! There are still a couple seasons of DLC characters on the horizon. If Piranha Plant can do it, then surely Waluigi can too!

I’m so glad this is a thing, because ever since my son and I evolved to Rhyperior (With our Lucky Rhydons), we’ve just been laughing at how tiny and pathetic he looks. I remember the first time I saw him in a gym next to a Chansey, and I was like, “Umm... since when was Chansey bigger than Rhyperior?!”

I think Sora is a high possibility at this point, and he would be a great fit too! Oh, man. The only problem I see is a lot of connection to Disney-related stuff, and Disney not wanting to put any of their franchises in Smash Bros.

Cloud’s inclusion was a huge shock at the time too, as was Bayonetta’s (Despite Bayonetta 2's exclusivity). This Joker inclusion, to me, just communicates that Nintendo really is thinking outside the box, and I’m loving it! More stuff like this, please.

There’s a huge difference in what EA did and what Nintendo is doing; EA’s DLC was done and just sitting there waiting for people to think they finished the game to get the “new” stuff.

I completely agree! I’m sure they got that feedback, but honestly, I still loved the 2nd one. I’m a huge Marvel fan, and Ultimate Alliance is one of very few Marvel games that I really enjoy. This was a major announcement for me! Super-pumped.
