Wow. You really twisted my words to justify your argument, didn’t you? haha.

Do you not get how they are connected? I could complain about the trash, damage, and police disrespect all day, but the thing that’s making most Japanese people (Including young people) mad is the complete disregard of those cultural norms.
If you re-read my initial comment, I referred to the heavy western party-style infiltrating Japan, which of course means it’s not everywhere. Where I live, Halloween is done really well, and even Sanrio Puroland (Hello Kitty’s hometown) does an awesome zombie horror house!
The trashing, flipping the car, and complete disregard of respect is what irritates me. It’s not Halloween the holiday, but what has happened in the midst of the holiday that it upsetting. As you said, the trash and other things are NOT OKAY, period. I stand by that.
Oh, believe me, Japanese people can party! That’s why I was implying that I wish Japan could turn Halloween into a more Japanese-style holiday. One they could turn more of their own and party hardcore in their own way.
Umm... being from Myrtle Beach, SC, if you think Halloween is only kids going door to door to get candy, then you have been under a rock. Halloween in big city and party towns is INSANE. My hometown turns an entire shopping outlet into party central, and you can hear the music and noise for miles. Every year when I…
Haha. Well, considering I’m a 36-year-old American (A liberal one, mind you), being called a “Japanese conservative” is quite shocking. haha.
I don’t think this was a protest, though. It just seemed like a party gone way out of hand.
You do realize that lot of people who did not “go a little crazy” had to clean all that garbage up, right? It would be like a teenager throwing a massive party at his house while the parents were gone, and then expecting his mother to clean it all up, because, you know... “maybe one night a year to go a little crazy…
I’m a pretentious prick because I don’t like the idea of civilians acting like idiots and treating a very peaceful and honorable people with extreme disrespect? Really?
It’s really bizarre, honestly. I know in a lot of western contexts, this kind of behavior can be ignored because young people “be cray”. haha. But in Japan, even the wildest behavior is done differently as to not shame themselves or their family/friends/company/etc. This kind of party is just wildly western.
Not necessarily “bad”, but maybe unfit is the right word. Certain ways of celebrating are frowned upon in certain countries because of cultural differences. The party in Shibuya is similar to that of Time Square, where just a crapton of people party with no end in sight. In Japan, though, this breaks numerous cultural…
This is really unfortunate. It’s cool as a westerner living in Japan seeing the country adopt certain holidays and making them their own. When I first moved here, Christmas was simply a holiday for couples to go on a date. Now, Christmas is properly a part of the culture, with its own quirks (Fried chicken and…
Yeah. Mine was exactly the same. haha. The update finished WAY before disc 1 data dumped.
Oooh. Actually, my copy just came in the mail, and I threw it in the PS4. It’s two discs. One disc is a complete data dump onto the PS4, which I’m doing now, and that process is taking about an hour.
Yeah, but it doesn’t take that long, even for very large games. I’ve never seen it last longer than 30 minutes (And that was GTAV. haha). I expect this to be roughly the same, maybe a little longer.
Definitely bought the physical for exactly this worry. So many of the games I’ve gotten on PS+ have taken hours to download, and I figured Red Dead Redemption 2 would be even worse, considering it’s grandness.
Dude. I know this is going to sound terrible, but I have a hard time believing this is real and just Vince’s way of getting the crowd behind Roman Reigns finally. Would Vince actually do that? Looking at history, hell yes, he would.
Although it is clearly an angle she is using for leverage, do keep in mind that Trump is also responsible for continually bringing it up again over and over.
Oh, Bryan! You are actually referencing my home area! Yay! I live right near Keio-Horinouchi Station, which is one stop away from Keio Tama Center Station. I love to see all of the fun decorated trains and stuff at Tama, so this is going to be really fun to see.
