My son keeps getting mad, because I won’t change the underpants. I just keep changing the hats. haha. When he saw I paid 1000 coins for the underpants, he was floored. He thought I committed a sin or something.
I only need to respond to one point, and that’s ARMS. ARMS did stand a chance, because it got just enough press, it looked interesting enough, and Nintendo did a good job with introducing a new fighting IP on their brand new system. For a new IP, ARMS has done more than well. It is very much nearing a million sales…
You definitely don’t need the amiibo to 100% the game. All amiibo unlocks can unlock in-game, and no moons are locked behind amiibo. No worries, friend.
And if you have time, this Mario:
100% this Mario:
Those prices are dropping each week. I just checked Japan Amazon, and 128GB Micro SDXC cards are under ¥5000 (roughly $45). By the time those 2TB cards come out, 500GB will be in the $100 or less range as well. Mark my words.
I agree with you to an extent, but when it comes to new IPs, I think technically we are the market for these companies. Casual or new gamers aren’t going to just pick up a game like Deep Down or Scalebound. New IPs are largely picked up by long-term gamers or “hardcore” gamers, as the community likes to call us.
For Nintendo to put more on-store memory from the get-go, they would have had to raise the price of the Switch $50-$100 depending on the size of the storage.
SteamWorld Dig is a phenomenal series! I was obsessed with the first one, so there was no question I was getting this on day 1 on the Switch. As you said, the controls are near-perfect, and it is just a fantastically unique Metroidvania-type game.
We aren’t talking about 18-24 months. We’re talking about 24-48 months, which is definitely a very long wait. It’s why some of these Kickstarter games are also getting bad reps, because the campaign succeeded in extreme numbers (For certain games, like Mighty No 9), and then the game just takes years to release.
Games like Twilight Princess and Breath of the Wild are exceptions because of hurried console launch plans. Even when Breath of the Wild was initially announced, they barely showed anything, as to not get our hopes too high. Despite Breath of the Wild’s delays, it still withheld major gameplay trailers.
But my point was that Nintendo has always been like this (For the most part). They are such a tight lip company, and they fire people for even sharing a meaningless detail outside the walls of Nintendo. It’s something they are known for, and it has always paid for them.
But on the flip side, Nintendo keeps their games so hidden so well and for so long, that when it’s revealed, they can boldly say that it’s coming relatively soon. This year, especially, has been crazy. Announced Splatoon 2 in January 2017, and they released it in July 2017. Announced Mario Odyssey in January 2017…
My in-laws are all Lebanese, and culturally, they are expected to harbor all of their emotions, especially the men (Their family culture, mind you). They aren’t allowed to express any emotion and can come off rather cold, judgmental, sexist, and bigoted. However, when they drink, they are GREAT. They become so open,…
I am a proper Switch-hitter (hehe. I love that term.). I primarily play on TV mode at home, especially recently with Mario Odyssey. My kids love to watch, which allows me to play openly in front of them on days off, unlike my PS4 games where the rating is a bit more mature and not suitable for them.
I live in Tokyo and am a huge follower of New Japan. Like you said, Los Ingobernables is by far and large the biggest faction in the company, but don’t discredit Bullet Club, though. They are still quite huge in Japan and are definitely the 2nd most popular faction in NJPW by a margin.
Agreed. It’s so infuriating when men with no willpower talk about cheating with their “amazing” wives. I mean, why fuck up a great thing? Why?! It just seems like a no-brainer to me.
The eShop is pretty poorly set up right now, so it’s hard to see all the games. It needs categories, a search option, and maybe something like a demo section to attract certain people.
Don’t be jealous that Mario is living the life that you want. He’s so rich and loaded, he can punch Yoshis, kill Goombas in the middle of the street and no one says anything, grab princesses by the pussy, and become the King of Mushroom Kingdom!
