Not necessarily true. If enough people star it and continue its popularity, it’ll be fine. They delete levels if no one is playing them at all, not just simply not clearing them.

I couldn’t agree more. It’s insane how cynical and whiny the online gaming community is right now about No Man’s Sky. It sounds like the same group that was bitching and complaining about Mighty No. 9 when it released to, as well as Metroid Prime: Federation Forcea couple weeks ago.

I have to disagree with the “terrible SummerSlam” assessment, but I do have to say that some of the decisions were DUMBFOUNDING.

But that was my point. If Niantic is dropping the ball so badly, both Nintendo and TPC should want to help assist and try to make things right with fans, right? I mean, they wouldn’t want a blemish on one of their most powerful and profitable franchises, right?

I do enjoy the game, but I’ve reserved my playing to free time when I’m out and about, which isn’t often. I opened the app for the first time today in about a week, and then I closed it when I only saw a Zubat in my area.

Thank you very much for such a straight-forward review of the actual game and not a “It’s not a Metroid game!”-review like so many others out there. I understand the disappointment, but we can’t judge a book by its cover or stay angry at the game because we wish it was something else.

To be perfectly honest, I think the online community is partially responsible for the madness. The more they showed off of the game, the most fans wanted out of it. Murray and company definitely wanted to deliver a huge experience, and they definitely did, but fans still wanted more.

Ugh. Elite Dangerous is... boring. I know No Man’s Sky can be boring in its own way, but I love genuinely discovering. That’s what makes NMS attractive to me. Elite Dangerous just keeps having you do mundane stuff, and it gets very old and repetitive too quickly. I’m definitely enjoying NMS more than I enjoyd Elite

The game was conceived and put together by a handful of people. It’s extremely impressive, and it’s definitely more than a “tech demo”. Sure, it’s not perfect, by any means, and it crashes a lot, but it sets a new standard as to how much you can do with their new algorithm.

What I love most about No Man’s Sky is how you can play however you want at your own pace. If you want to blaze through without discovering, then go ahead. If you want to spend days on the same planet, go ahead. There’s no pressure in a single player game to finish quickly, and for a game as massive as this, everyone

At least in regard to animals, from what I’ve learned, it definitely sticks to a certain theme regarding the land creatures. And since each planet that has animals only has between 6-10 unique species, you don’t need to spend too much time on a planet trying to find that best animal. If you haven’t seen it early

I figured as much, but some people are already seeing some amazing things well before the center. I’m just jealous is all. haha

C’mon! I’ve gotten some interesting ones, but nothing dinosaur-like. I’ll keep searching. I finally got my Warp Drive Sigma upgrade, so I can access special systems I wasn’t able to before. Hopefully I can find some unique stuff there when I play later.

If you go into the options menu and highlight the creature, it’ll tell you there size in meters. The largest one I found was 6 meters tall, which is pretty big. I forgot to take a picture of it, but it’s in my log, so I can post it later. It was a very strange creature that had the arms of a gorilla, the back legs of

Well, in the grandest scale of the universe, humans are a “something”.

I just love explorative games. When I was a kid, games like Metroid were the absolute best. In days prior to the internet, there was no way to know exactly where you were going, what you were about to find, or even know what your ultimate goal was, even in a game like Metroid.

I’m on board with one of the commenters in the article. I just want to see giant, dinosaur-like creatures. Sure, I’ve sen some relatively large ones already, animals about the side of an elephant or so, but nothing apatosaurus-like and definitely nothing giant sand worm/snake-like. haha.

What does reading comprehension have to do with you making insanely incorrect claims? My ship cost me 1.6 million, and it has 28 slots. Although it was quite expensive, it is far from the most in the current database. I’ve seen numerous ships ranging from 15 - 30 million with slots between 38-42.

I highly doubt you’ve upgraded everything to just about “max”. There are ships in the game that are worth $20 million that have inventory slots between 38-42. Have you seriously found all of the languages? Upgraded to the most useful multi-tool? Have you actually taken down any large space stations?

Honestly, how are you getting bored? Each planet is a fuckin’ PLANET. It’s exciting each and every time for me, at least. From my first time exploring my first planet to my recent journey through my 16th, it’s unbelievable just how different each one has been so far. Not only that, but your space ship and multi-tool
