Haha. Touche, but then that would depend on when the next Samus-included Metroid game takes place. ;)

It shined for me! The 64-version was great, and the local-play on the 3DS remake was also lots of fun. 4x4 dog fights in space?! How can you go wrong?!

I’m not a big fan of Animal Crossing, so thanks for pointing that out. That only adds to the crappy presentation.

I know it’s not known for its multiplayer, but I was implying that its multiplayer shines like the sun! The dog fights in the 3DS remake of Star Fox 64 were awesome, even though they were local only. And the multiplayer in Star Fox Adventures was one of the best parts of the game! A comical, cartoony, and addicting

Absolutely agree. It was one of the biggest disappointments that Star Fox Zero was the only “big” announcement for Wii U. I was really expecting a Metroid this year, and NOT that stupid-looking 3DS game. I was even hoping that the new Metroid would be a 2.5D eShop game that would be shared between 3DS and Wii U, with

I want my time back too. It’s sad that the best part of their presentation was the muppets... which had nothing to do with games.

Here’s the rundown. Please tell me how much you are excited about:

The problem with these experiments is that the sales are more-than-likely going to be poor for all of them, including Star Fox Zero. I feel like Trifoce Heroes is going to fall into Four Swords sales numbers, and Metroid Prime GF will definitely have numbers similar to Hunters or worse.

Despite the monster e3 has become, it’s still the platform each year for the big dogs to come forward and show what they have brewing back home. Nintendo has left the normal stage and starting doing the Digital Event for a couple years now. Previous ones have been significantly better, but this one focused so much on

There’s a HUGE difference between story and characters. Star Fox’s characters are great, but Star Fox’s story is nothing to write home about. Even Fox’s dad is not really that interesting to me. It just feels like common sci-fi elements thrown into the story to give it some kind of weight. The main sell of the

I stick with it, because when it comes to formulas like Metroid and Zelda, especially, Nintendo shouldn’t be trying to fix something that clearly isn’t broken. The Metroid announcement, especially, was a kick to the balls. No Samus and forced multiplayer just feels very... wrong.

Yes. I described what I meant afterward. Two single-player centric franchises are being pushed to multiplayer-centric games, at the same time! And one game that thrives on multiplayer is going to be single-player only.

Nintendo was AWFUL today, and this is coming from a huge Nintendo fan.

I know. I’m just being funny. ;)

Well, technically, Metroid without Metroid isn’t Metroid. ;)

If it is, I’ll still be freaking out! haha. Just like Bayonetta 2, it’ll be a Day 1 purchase!

Yeah, but it was terrible. Very few games actually worked on the 360, and they seemingly stopped supporting Xbox games after a very short period. I think that’s why this announcement got deflated, because it felt very similar to before. I guess we’ll see how it goes.

It was a mic drop until Spencer said that the backwards compatability will come out in waves. The crowd died after that and seemed significantly less interested. I think when he first announced it, everyone expected a simple “Put my 360 disc in and VOILA!”, but that was quickly shotdown and people realized that just

Touche. Thanks for the explanation, and I’ll actually be the one who concedes. Nice ending to the discussion, by the way. :)

Hahaha. Sorry for misspelling. I didn’t even see that.
